Yes my friends, the song did exist before our favorite Blues Queen, the late and lamented Dinah Washington, first immortalized the tune in 1952 (she would record another version in 1961). This recording dates from 1946, and the arrangement is Sylvan Schulman's. Enjoy!

Thanks for posting. Maxine Sullivan is one of my favorite singers and this is an interesting arrangement with the strings and harp.
