The Eurofighter, the Su-37, the Rafale and a number of other 4th/5th Generation aircraft are fantastic designs. The F-22A, however, remains at the top. All of these aircraft (or their predecesors) were designed to fight a war that never happened, and it's unlikely we'll ever see them all thrown into a ring against one-another.

Despite all the engineering finesse in the world, however, the F-22A's stealth capabilities put it far ahead of the competition. In an age where missiles and radar, instead of speed and agility, often decide the fight, the ability to vanish from sight is checkmate. Some aircraft might be faster, more agile or smaller than the Raptor, but none of them can kill what they can't see.

I remeber that day, one time when the 22 was doing a vertical climb it set off almost all the car alarms.

Langey was treated to a preview of the new season's demo today. It is unbelievable. From powering out of a slow high angle of attack to a vectored corkscrew turn, the new demonstrated capabilities make this clip nearly obselete. It's apparant we've merely been given a taste of what this amazing jet can really do. They did the demo twice today.

I went for the completeness aspect. I only edited when the plane was not in frame at all.

all you whiney ass tree huggers on here are missing the point...!!! the men who put their blood, sweat and tears into designing these things love(ed) engineering...!!! and i can respect these machines for the beauty of their design. flawless in every single way. the f-22 reminds me of a metal paper airplane we've all made in school. this guy simply posted this up to show you something he enjoys and you have to bash it.

I appreciate your comments and support. As for the dissentors, everyone is entitled to their opinions. I still have the right to delete or turn off comments should they stray too far out.. :) It's about the Aircraft, not the politics or fighting or money or any one person's opinion.
