As kids growing up in Hawaii, we used to hunt these things with .22 caliber and .177, I believe, pellet guns. It's no wonder these creatures are some of the oldest still existing forms of life not far removed, as a species, from their original form. Quite resilient. Felt like big game hunters within the confines of my own backyard.

The Hawaiian roach is also known as the Hawaiian State Bird as they fly. More often than not straight away into your very own face and THAT will get your attention no matter how tough you think you may be. LOL.

@starkyzazation But nobody has any good reason to hate most of the animals people hate. Roaches, rats, spiders, snakes, all harmless or nearly always so, and nothing about a harmless organism should scare or disgust people.

I've always wanted to ask this question there's a little thing behind the roach. What's that is the roach a female carring a baby ? or is that something else ? Just asking because it looks nasty !
