There's no such thing as overkill. You either kill it cleanly, or you don't.
Overkill only lives in the minds of the illogical.

@NaDunta1 If you look closely at the front of the video the rifle appears to be suppressed (that thick round thing on the barrel). In other words there is a silencer mounted on it.

got the job done, well done :)

@bunnysniper22 And the wind ...

lol overkill?!?! Good stuff.

Talk about overkill.. Haha

@4everUSNavy No - It will chamber and it will fire, however the military 5.56 round creates much higher pressure with your rifle is not designed for... so I would avoid trying it.

Would have liked to have seen
Head shots at that distance .
Good vid

a bit over kill?

@carlyle0229 not for out to 200 yards and beyond. i use my .22LR from close range out to 150 yards and the .223 beyond that.

good shooting i guess.. Never found the point in "sport" hunting for rabbit personally... If i was going to be shooting a still target just to watch it explode and i didnt plan on eating it id just shoot a clay pigeon on the ground..

@tronclay i dont just shoot the rabbits for fun to watch them explode, i shoot them as they are vermin in the uk and ruin the farmers fields. The farmers dont want rabbits in their land and i do this to help them out. I also shoot them with .22 rimfires not just .223. At this perticular part on this farm this field has little cover to shoot from so i use the .223 to get them from a greater distance.
The rabbits do get eaten, i give them to friends or the farmers dogs
