50 Illegal Alien Gang Members Arrested In Utah

Here is another result of not having our borders secure. Criminal illegal alien gang members, many who had been previously deported and illegally returned, wreaking havoc in our communities once again.

Whatever your take is on illegal immigration, everyone should be in agreement that these criminals have no business being in our country. Deport them back to wherever they came from after they serve their time. We don't want them here.

Prosecutors cracking down on gang members here illegally

Federal and state prosecutors are putting out a warning to gang members in the country illegally, they're coming after you.

U.S. District Attorney Brett Tolman said, "While we are tired and frustrated and upset about gang violence, we are equally as motivated to eradicate it."

In a show of force, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, together with police in Utah and Weber counties, arrested 50 illegal immigrant gang members in just a couple of weeks.

"Every one will be deported, either immediately or at the conclusion of their prison sentence," said Tolman.

Tolman says they're going to start federally prosecuting every foreign national gang member they can.

ICE Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Lines said, "Many of these individuals have simply made a mockery of our immigration laws."

Many of those arrested had been previously deported from the U.S., some as recently as last March.

Lines said, "Many of these individuals have made a mockery of immigration laws. They've been previously convicted of other violations, deported, and are using our borders as a revolving door."

Lines says if a deported gang member re-enters the country and ends up in Utah, he or she will be sent to federal prison for 10 to 20 years.

Our borders used to be convenient to ignore, then they became a dependency to ignore, now they are an addiction many cannot respect. Illegal immigration promotes the lack of responsibility in 2+ gov'ts. One gov't gets cheap labor, while the other gets remittances, but over time the gov'ts, illegal aliens, employers, etc., grow dependent on the benefits they derive from the situation. Alcoholics Anonymous has a 12-Step program for escaping addictions.

@TheTortugaTanker You have a point. But neighther your government nor the mexican government is too interested in stopping the immigration. Instead they are integrating both nations more and more. You might think your government isn't corrupt the only difference here is that there is more money to go around.

US seems to have a policy of bending principle when dealing with illegal aliens.  Every illegal aliens in US broke the law by staying in us soil illegally. Some of them forged document to work. But it is OK to forged document if the law breaker is illegal alien and if the law was broken to get a job? So would it be OK for me US citizen to break law if I broke the law just to make a living? The illegal aliens in US are privileged class and envy of US citizen these days.

The best way to help Mexico is to keep them there until they force a change. Being a misplaced / bleeding-heart whackjob is not going to do it nor will throwing money at the problem. It's obvious that the politicians of Mexico have little to no interest in their own people or doing something about Mexico's failure. The people are used to living without law & bring their mentality here. Harsher penalties are much needed - including execution & euthanasia of you failures.
