  • UNE BONNE CHANSON DU SUD

  • so unfortunate that she has a brand new album pretty much set and ready, but no means to release it by :(

  • LOVE AND HATE

  • sounds like daft punk - veridis quo...check

  • @JordanDinstrumentals I don't know how the UK charts operate, but it's still very possible for an artist like Gaelle to get on the charts over here in the States.

  • yh fair enough your right i actually agree with that she could have been marketed better but stil i hold my view shes better than any music in the charts you never hear nothing like this in the charts because the charts suck these days

  • @JordanDinstrumentals (cont.) Also, I don't think Naked Music knew HOW to promote Gaelle. Both Aya and Lisa were already familiar to fans because of their work with Blue Six. Older house music fans MIGHT have known Gaelle from "King of My Castle," but even still, she's doing a whole different thing with this album. And the diversity of the album didn't allow the label to market her as a "soul" artist. It seems like the label kind of gave up on her.

  • @JordanDinstrumentals (cont.) As far as Gaelle is concerned, the fault lies with her record label, Naked Music. Her label didn't promote her well. Her labelmates (Aya & Lisa Shaw) are very well-known and respected in their particular music scene. Lisa, in fact, actually DID chart on Billboard. And that largely has to do with both of them (Aya AND Lisa) being heavily promoted over Gaelle.

  • @JordanDinstrumentals Why are you so focused on the music charts? The charts are not a validation of one's music, merely a reflection of what the general public wants to hear. It's not Lady Gaga's fault that people want to hear her music. I hate her for a LOT of reasons, but that isn't one of them.
