I heard Beverly sing live only twice but each note was a sublime head rush!
I never had the good fortune to hear Alfredo live but I've always liked his voice.
They were both aristocrats.

I was there; this sounded even better in the house because these were singers who knew how to project their voices. We don't hear singing like this anymore, and besides the MET would cast unknown near-children or better-known singers with ruined techniques in the parts today. By the way, can anything be done to fix the horrendous pitch waver at 1'41"?
