A wee 12 bar blues thing recorded at home using GarageBand and a Roland Edirol UA-4FX.
Instruments used:
Les Paul (copy)
Fender Stratocaster
Fender Musicmaster Bass (thanks Mr. H)
M-Audio Oxygen II Keyboard
Drum Loop from GarageBand Jam Pack

The video was made at home using a wee Sony Handycam and iMovie. (Youtube sound quality is not great compared to original recording, any advice re best file format and settings would be appreciated).

My first music contribution posted on YouTube, hope you enjoy! Cheers Gary.

  • did you use a di box or record and amp?

  • @JoeFoderaroMusic Hi Joe, the guitar was plugged directly into the Edirol (di box). All the guitar effects were in GarageBand.

  • This vid may have sold me on the Edirol..

  • @Freshkid2070 Its a great wee box and not too expensive. I should be getting a fee from Roland LOL!!

  • Hey Mate, awesome video,

how did you get it the sound quality to be so clear?

If you could what did you change on garageband?

  • @JaJaGamers G'day mate! Thanks for your nice comment! It's a live recording. Recorded live into Garageband using the Edirol UA4FX. Then I export an MP3 file and import that into iMovie and sync it with the video - quite easy!

  • very nice work! I too have a white Strat and use garage band for sweet stuff such as this (check out my Sheryl Crow cover if you get the chance).

  • @sirkyII More twang????? It's blues not country LOL!

  • @GuitarKingMother grrrrrr noise???? All guitar effects are built into Garageband. I think the 2011 version has even more sounds available. Thanx 4 the comment!
