It sounds like a warzone as I type this :) Pretty impressive for a suburb anyway.

PS. The streetlamps are actually an orangey colour, not red. Not sure why it comes out that way.

I know i am going to sound like a stupid american, however, Is Guy Fawkes night the UKs independence day?

Hehe, no actually it is the celebration of the foiling of the Gunpowder plot back on 5th November 1605 when some Catholic conspirators and Guy Fawkes himself attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London. The film V for Vendetta is based around this plot.

So, you guys have a celebration "of the foiling of the Gunpowder plot" (meaning the Government/Crown won), BUT it's named after the guy who tried to do the bad thing? From the name of it I thought Guy Fawkes was like a "good guy".
