most sports writers blame Igawa's struggles on Ron Guidry. Ever since Guidry changed his mechanics Igawa has not been the same.

I blame delivery (It's nothing like how it was in Japanese leagues) it looks like he forces it more... I wonder if the yankee coaches were fucking around with his throwing motion...

I dunno, it's something about Japanese players and New York, except for Hideki Matsui, they just don't work. Kaz Ishii won almost 60% of his games with the Dodgers, goes to the Mets and goes 3-9, Kaz Matsui was a bust, goes to the Rockies and helps them get to the World Series. I'd like to see Igawa get a chance someplace else.
