It did happen in China in the late 1940's when Ipman beat a British boxer using wing chung thereby sealing his fate as a legend. Who is IPman? He is the guy that taught Bruce Lee how to fight. Look, JKD uses boxing too because Bruce included this in JKD. Bruce was trained in boxing and was once the Hong Kong lightweight champion. Bruce took the best of the various arts that he studied and got rid of the rest. If you think its bull, would you fight Bruce in his prime?

@kirokyukan Im a JKD fighter. Meaning I fight and train for real fights and I can say THIS CRAP IS USELESS. I threw all the trapping out. If I see an arm i could slap it away ones but second I hit instead all this bullcrap moves. In the first place boxing is the thing you should focus on. Trapping is a clinching range. There no time for this crap, only if you fight a drunk man or an old lady. This is fantasy. And all those old men are selling JKD for their own money. They never fought ones!!

If a 20 year practitioner of Wing Chun tried to trap a guy that has been boxing 6 months what do you think would happen? I'll tell ya. He would get KTFO!

I remember this even thou I did it soooo many years ago when I was a little dragon with Sijo DeMile It is a beautiful art form and I wan't to continue to learn it and many more even thou it may take a life time just to master one art form.

Why do none of you JKD guys ever use this shit in a fight? Even the videos of Bruce Lee himself shows it's founders inabilty to apply trapping in an actual combat situation. Even the pure Wing Chun guys I see are unable to apply this stuff, and they are much better at it then any JKD guy.
