In 1995, as the "NO" vote against Secession from Canada had begun to register in Quebec, Stephen Harper, who was then a Federal Member of Parliament in Alberta, was interviewed by French TV. Canadians had, within hours, JUST REJECTED "Sovereignty Partnership" (a "new federation"). Aside from the fact that it was TREASON for politicians to ask Canadians to destroy their country, and the referendum was illegal -- HARPER immediately moved to appease the losing "YES" vote by declaring that he would "prefer to build a new federation" rather than declare Quebec a "distinct society" or Quebecers "a people". This is to prove that the "NO" means nothing. And it means nothing, because this is not "democracy," it's a SCAM to get North American Union, the REAL "new federation" our traitorous politicians have been trying to impose disguised as "independence for Quebec". • Peoples have a right to self-determination. No one can honestly describe Québec as a mere part of Canada and not a distinct nation. The so-called constitution was imposed on the Québécois people and up to this day has not been accepted and signed by Québec.

  • @felixlpilon - You have no clue what you're talking about. You've been brainwashed as a TOOL to vote for your own destruction, called North American Union. Search google for: 'habeascorpuscanadacomments' [[[ dot ]]] blogspot {{{ dot }}} com ---

  • @felixlpilon - you're totally ignorant of history. I have no time.

  • Did you know the referendums are illegal? The Constitution prohibits both annexation and secession, it was designed that way in 1865 by the Founding Fathers. The legislative powers were divided between the Federal Parliament and the Provincial Legislatures. The provinces received an "enumerated" list of powers under s. 92. "Enumerated" means they can't do anything that isn't on the list. There is DELIBERATELY no power to secede. There thus can be NO REFERENDUM on the subject of secession.

  • Hi, thank you! Good to know. I don't watch the French news much, had to go by how it sounded with Harper saying it. I won't be re-doing the clip right now as it would delete all the comments, but will fix it up for my files. I have made a transcript of it, and having the right name is very important, thank you!

  • The best thing anyone can do is put up a collection of harper podium talks or interviews and count how many times he says "I speak for all canadians, or I represent all canadians" He has the mindset of a dictator and im sure he believes all of canada voted for him

  • Good question.... I know people use their camcorders to film their TV sets, but the sound can be bad and the image not steady.

On the other hand, if you could manage to instal a program on your computer to let you view TV on your computer, you could then use CAM STUDIO, which is free, or other similar free or cheap software, to film it right on the desktop of your computer. There should be free tv software programs for your computer, too.

  • @crazyforcanada There is a difference between legislative textes and national realities. A piece of paper cannot impose onto a people the will of another. The Québécois people has never approved the constitution and it is our right to choose our own future. Following your logic, the mere existence of an empire makes it legitimate. Have you ever actually been to Québec ?

  • His French has sure improved.

  • Harper is a douche, but you're really reaching here. If you can find evidence here for some kind of NAU conspiracy in a talk that is clearly about Quebec then I am afraid you are doomed to find conspiracy everywhere.

  • VIVE LE QUÉBEC LIBRE!

  • English subtitles : it's not Mr. Savoie, it's Mr Lessard.
