no subtlety- really, really glad this got cut

a subtle joke I recently realized that I couldnt find recognized so far is lucille calling buster steve mcqueen, who stared in the great escape and the newspaper headline for gobs escape as the "not so great escape". Not sure if there are other references to the movie.

@autigerfan18 Yes, it is the scene when Lucille shows up at the Latin Daytime Emmys. The dialogue and reactions are snappier and quicker, so you don't even really have time to absorb or wallow in its mean-spiritedness. I don't like about this slower version- you see them each absorbing the mean-ness, when in fact, these two women would never register a facial reaction. This is all to say that the snappier delivery saves the viewer from thinking too much about the mean-ness=more successful.

@an0nym0usA55 The guy who narrated this particular scene was most certainly not Ron Howard.

There is a scene similar to this. The one that made the show is a little different from this.
