"No condoms. No sex" has become a mantra for around 4,500 sex workers operating near India's southern city of Bangalore. With an estimated 2.5 million Indians infected with HIV, these prostitutes are on the frontline of India's battle against HIV and AIDS. Linda Blake reports from India's high tech capital, Bangalore.

Its impossible to end a trade that has been around for so long. As long as there is demand, there will be supply. The Indian construction workers who are are without any spouse or partners would need to release their pent-up sexual desires by having sex with prostitutes. This may actually be good for the society as it sexual denial can lead to crimes like rapeing etc.

ONLY 5 TO 10 % OF THEM USE CONDOMS. REMAINING MAJORITY STILL HAVE UNSAFE SEX. THIS VIDEO IS PART OF NGO EFFORT TO EDUCATE THE PORSTITUTES.

Good thing that they are praticing safer sex, It's sad what is happening in India, I went about six months ago to Calcutta and I have never seen so many sex workers in my life, I saw little girl as young as 12 yr old selling their body..Very SAD situation..

Uh.....wouldn't it be better to put MORE effort into helping end this 'business' for these women? It's nice to toss someone a 'raincoat' in a Monsoon. But it's even BETTER to get them out of the rain.
Even when using condoms, disease will still spread and the stature of the women will still be unacceptable......'would this do if ou had a daughter on the streets?
