  • Shirley Sherrod's dad was killed by a KKK clansman, and the murderous clansman was set free by an all-white jury in 1965. Now she's getting sh!t on again. Given this fact, her speech denouncing racism is by far one of the most inspirational things I have ever seen.

If you're a republican and you agree with this breitbart lunatic, do the world a favor and kill yourself. I'm dead serious (pun intended).

  • Breitbart sounds like he is full of crap.

  • @cupera1 This is how you cite sources. Maybe you should try it sometime. So far, you haven't.

  • @cupera1 A majority of Black Americans began voting Democrat after Truman integrated the military in 1948, LBJ received 94% of the black vote (Goldwater, a Republican, opposed desegregation), and no Republican presidential candidate has received more than 15% of the Black vote since 1964 (Bositis, David A. "Blacks and the 2004 Democratic National Convention." Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies).

At least 85% of Blacks disagree with you and have voted Democrat for 48 years.

  • @punkyvid And I have shown that the Democrat Party is still home of the KKK from Robert Byrd on down. I have produce facts that no KKK member has ever been allowed into the Republican Party. And, I have shown that people in the south were voting out the Democrats KKK members BEFORE 1964, and accelerated after the civil rights legislation passed with a majority of Republicans supporting it. When your writings are factually incorrect people will notice and say so

  • @cupera1 Did you just state that Johnson's Great Society destroyed the black family, while slavery, segregation, and Jim Crow laws did not? If so, what a strange thing to say.

I'll say it for the third time; the KKK switched parties after it became apparent that the Democrat party was for Civil Rights. The clear choice "to vote for the Republicans" was because Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act.

I can not converse with someone who continues ignoring my writings.

  • @punkyvidAgain you make my point that the people in the south could no longer abide voting for KKK members when the clear choice was to vote for the Republicans , the KKK also were lynched Reps along side of blacks . Bull Conner (D) was voted out of office before the march on Birmingham but MLK went against his advisors to have the march anyway. The Great Society programs that LBJ started was the only thing that was able to destroy the black family, when slavery segergation and jim Crow failed

  • @cupera1 You can't deny that most of the South voted Democrat before 1964, that the entire South (except for TX) voted Republican in the presidential election immediately following the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and that this relatively abrupt change was reflective of Southern segregationists switching parties. This is painfully obvious.

Please stop trying to deny that which is historically indisputable. Thanks.

  • @punkyvid The only KKK that tried to get into the Rep party was David Duke and he was run out of the party on a rail. Robet Byrd recruted in the Senate for decads on behalf of the KKK only his death stoped him not the Dems. You so soon for get Slick Wille and Harry Ried and there racism. The Dems have expanded too add a couple of new racist organizations into their ranks: Black Panthers and La Raza. The dems will thak any bigot into thier ranks

  • @cupera1 Would you please stop the erroneous implication that Democrats are still the party of the KKK? The KKK switched parties when the Democrat party became the party of Civil Rights. Wallace, an "independent" and pro-segregationist, carried five southern states in 1968, while Nixon carried all other southern states except TX, which Humphrey carried.

  • @punkyvid Thank you for making my point: the people of the south stoped voting for KKK members. Form the time of reconstruction to the electons in 1952 when Reps won Flor, Tenn and Vir that broke the solid south for the Dems.

  • @cupera1 Presidential elections:

1952: LA, AR, MS, AL, GA, SC, NC, WV, KY voted Democrat

1956: AR, MO, MS, AL, GA, NC, SC, voted Democrat

1960: LA, MO, AK, AL, MS, GA, NC, SC, TX voted Democrat

1964: LA, AL, MS, GA, SC voted Republican

1968: All southern states except TX voted Republican or for Wallace (pro-segregationist)

The distinct change in the South from Democrat to Republican after the Civil Rights Act is indisputable. The South has been overwhelmingly Republican ever since.
