The PIC32 products are the very first PIC products with 5-stage pipeline. The knowledge of pipeline is not required when developing applications in 'C'. However, some knowledge of pipeline can be useful if you are trying to squeeze every last bit of performance from the PIC32. This presentation discusses the details of 5-stage pipeline. It describes how instructions proceed in the pipeline. Topics such as pipeline stalls and interlocks are covered in other webinars.
