@tsuei05 According to Paul Collins and Peter Case of The Nerves, Cheap Trick showed up to a show they played in 1977. The members of Cheap Trick brought copies of the self-released vinyl EP by The Nerves, which they had Paul, Peter and Jack autograph for them. Cheap Trick has good musical tastes.
@hectorsalinasisback Hell dude, Rick Nielsen liked these guys so much he played on their album, and appeared with them live, including jamming Ballroom Blitz with them for a live E.P.
@zgusto Because Material Issue sounds like bad 90s damaged Christian rock! No, I don't have anything against the band, I have something against their crappy music. I never said Cheap Trick, The Romantics or The Paul Collins Beat are my favorite bands, you said that. I said those bands are legendary and no music expert will deny it. The first album by The Paul Collins Beat was voted #1 all-time power pop album by Magnet Magazine. Cheap Trick and The Romantics are still touring and recording.
@hectorsalinasisback you're a knucklehead! why do you post this same drivel on multiple MI songs on you tube??? Have something against the band? What kind of Jack ass says "These guys didn't have good songs......" What a stupid statement!!!! They had awesome power pop tunes. Those other bands are good too....but come on The Knack had 2 or 3 good tunes.........MI had 20!
Go rave about your favorite bands on their posts, why slink around and post this shit comment?
These guys didn't have good songs like legendary power pop groups such as The Romantics, The Paul Collins Beat and The Knack. That first Paul Collins Beat LP and that first Romantics LP are solid albums of perfect power pop.
jim & co. at their best!
thanx 4 posting this gem of 1 of rock's greatest!
