A 3 part video taken during two days of riding the West Orange Trail in Florida.

The annual Catrike Factory Tour and Rally was held on March 5th 2011 and featured 150 or more recumbent trike fans!
I was riding the handmade FWD Trike seen in the 9 part build videos and attempted to capture scenes from the Rally and the beautiful scenic trail. This was my first Rally and learned some ideas for next time!

The video mixes in different scenes with nice editing and some background audio and music. I had a great time at the Rally and riding the trial. I encourage everyone to visit the area and take a ride on the trail!

  • Very Nice video. I live in Clermont and ride the WOT often. 40-50 miles round trip from my house to the end of the WOT in Apopka and back to my house. Why didn't you all keep going to Lake Minneola on the South Lake Trail/West Orange Trail? Once you get past Killanary, it gets hilly. Maybe too hilly for those bikes. Can recums handle hills decently? I don't think I have ever seen any recums on the hilly part of the trail. If they can handle hills, you should do it. It is a very nice ride.

  • @derrickb1974 You should watch the part 2 and part 3 of the west orange trail video I made! A lot of trikers went to Clermont and back. I went from Winter Garden to Clermont two weekends in a row on the trike. I used my 42x21 and 42 x 24 in some areas, never had to use the bailout 42x28.

  • yes I know, I got my camera a few days before the event and mount it using the gopro handlebar mount and put it on the handlebars...which move around. Some of the video was shot the next trip with a mini tripod and I would hold it out. Problem is, you can't really frame your shot.

I want to work on a motorized mount with a switch to rotate the camera around.
