Texas Longhorns defeat Central Florida

UT over UCF, 35-32. Mack Brown and the Texas Longhorns travel to Florida and withstand a comeback attempt from George O'Leary, running back Kevin Smith (drafted by the Detroit Lions) and the rest of the Central Florida Knights. It was the first game ever played at Brighthouse Networks Stadium on the UCF campus.

Sophomore quarterback Colt McCoy, and current NFL players Limas Sweed (drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers), running back Jamaal Charles (drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs), Frank Okam (drafted by the Houston Texans), Brandon Foster (signed by the Indianapolis Colts), and Marcus Griffin (signed by the Minnesota Vikings) all helped the 'Horns prevail.
