Ah yes Janet, I understand this very well. Imagine taht somebody is touching us without saying it would unbalance me, even ment well and I am an adult! Permission for touching for entering our comfortzone is so important.

I love this video, even though it may seem a bit over the top it is how I always pick up my baby. Subsequently he never cries or is upset or shocked and is so calm and happy to be in my arms. I have seen friends pick up their babies without any warning and it shocks them and they end up crying which is such a shame. It really is all about communication and taking your time when it comes to taking care of your baby.
