Rockestra Part 4 - "Doctor Doctor" by MissGuided Youth

Rockestra - teen rock musicians and a teenage youth orchestra playing original songs and covers. Orchestrated and arranged by School of Rock Director Thomas Goss, conducted by Vector Wellington Orchestra maestro Marc Taddei. Original songs written by the bands Single Strand, MissGuided Youth, South of Sanity, Cyanide, and The Philosophers.

The late great band MissGuided Youth blasting away with their classic cover of UFO's "Doctor Doctor." There's a short orchestral intro, then everybody goes at it hammer and tongs. Watch for the break in the middle where different sections of the orchestra do little comments on the theme, and also for lead guitarist Hannah Bartle's blistering outtro.

MissGuided Youth was: Melody Loiterton, guitar & vocals; Morgan Ryan, bass & vocals; Hannah Bartle, lead guitar; and Annie Hill, drums.

Strange mix of good and not so here. Sounds like a cross between Dr Dr and the theme from Sunshine very reminiscent of the Kick Ass film (i know this came first). The vocalist is not suited to this song. The orchestral part is superb and it would be great to hear DrDr as a purely orchestral BUT in some places too complicated I'm assuming to get more instruments in.
