Jefferson Thomas, of the "Little Rock Nine" that attended Little Rock Central High School after being barred by the governor, spoke to Findlay High School students as part of Black History Month on Feb. 3, 2010. The crisis, and President Eisenhower's intervention, was a pivotal moment in the U.S. struggle for civil rights. Visit www.thecourier.com to read more about it.
Sadly, Mr. Jefferson Thomas went to be with the LORD on 9/5/10. I was privileged to work with him for a few years at the Dept. of Defense. He was a good guy... The New York Times has written a nice article on him…
RIP Jeff

I actually thought his presentation was quite interesting! Some other students were being quite rude towards the end of it, but I, as a sophmore student, was glad he came to share his history with us and i enjoyed it very much, Thanks so much Mr. Jefferson Thomas!
