@Texan2525 Sorry to jump in on this conversation a month late, but I partially disagree with your assessment of the physicality being gone. Granted, there's been a big increase in the focus on skill players, but there are still teams that are known for more physical playing styles, the Bruins being the best example.
Plus, "skills teams" like the Blackhawks are always trying to find ways to add that physical quality to their lineup. So it's still a key element. Obviously far fewer fights tho!
