@ThePoopykins The state DOES NOT run health care. It just tells everyone that they have to be responsible for their own health care.

OBAMACARE runs health care because it has people making decisions about our health care. Obamacare has End of Life Counseling (read: people convincing your family to pull the plug), death panels, rationing, etc.

This video shows that Romney has been consistent on federal health care takeovers, even when he was more moderate 17 years ago.

@ThePoopykins You may disagree with MassCare, but it's not a government takeover.

Federal law mandates that every state government must provide care to everyone, even if they cannot afford it.

So what Romney did, is make sure everyone has personal responsibility for their health insurance, not expect government to care for them.

Obamacare is a federal one-size-fits-all takeover of the way our health care works. It is unconstitutional, costs too much money, and Romney is going to repeal it.

@2012Romney Uh, the "end of life counseling", "death panels", etc did not make the final bill. There is no way you are this stupid, so maybe you're just dishonest. "Obamacare" doesn't run healthcare any more than Romneycare does in MA. Obamacare doesn't even provide more care itself directly, outside of the expansion of Medicaid.

@ThePoopykins actually the Mass Taxpayer foundation said costs are within original forecasts of 1.5% of the State Budget. is it more expensive than they would like? yes, but not bankrupting the state at all. keep in mind Mass had highest HC costs in the nation before the plan was ever put in place. watch out for media spin on this.

@ThePoopykins actually MassCare is a STATE plan, not a Gov't takeover and it's favored in the state by 3 to 1. it wasn't rammed down their throats like Obamacare. Also, MAss-Care is constitutional under the 10th Amendment, didn't raise taxes (like Obamacare did by $500 billion). and Mass-Care is private market based HC (not gov't insurance like Obamacare) and it changed nothing for 92% of MA citizens that already have HC.

@ThePoopykins I don't understand how you don't see. There is a Mass.ive (no pun intended) difference between a state mandate and a federal mandate. Why don't you see that? The Constitution allows states.

Romney is arguing, as he does now, and has ALWAYS done -- against the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT takeover of health care.

And, please keep in mind the 85% Democrat controlled legislature. As Romney has said, the law is not exactly as he would have wanted.

But the point is the people of MASS (a majority of them) LIKE it; and if they decide at some point they DON'T, they can talk to their congressmen to get it revised.
