Lennon was so good at talking. So articulate at getting across his point of view. So charismatic and naturally gifted. People listened. Not just Beatles fans. Everyone! He was the first rock star to be taken seriously by the grown ups. Even more so, the politicians. He was powerful to that end and he knew it. This made him dangerous in the eyes of those who were attempting to perpetrate mass indoctrination of right wing ideology. He had to go really. Poor bastard.
