i like 66`s better, i ve had over 30 of them for haulage, im a main basher when it comes to locos, but units are better than loco hauled stuff.thats why im always doing units at the weekend, main or what!

@sandman19681012 yes but it is mainly DRS who use them but as you can see there are still other companies who still use them. also the class 37 is a very strong engine used mainly in the 80's and 90's to pull mainly freight trains.

@gemmal90 Have a look for Napier Deltric, that is the engine in theses which are very interesting, 3 crank shafts and no cylinder heads, this engine is why it makes it unique sound.

I am finding this most interesting. I live in the United States and I am now developing an interest in British railways. This class 37 seem to be quite the brute...perhaps comparable with our own EMD F-series. Are the class 37's still used on mainline service very often~?

Most people standing by the side of a train line shouting at trains are rounded up and locked away!

Great vid mate! Tractors and Choppers all good!!!
just started trainspotting with a friend - these "growlers" as they are known(according to my friend) really are something else!! there was a railtour passing through plymouth-newton abbot-exeter-tiverton parkway etc. yesterday(6/11/11), there were 2 of these on the front, and a diesel(not sure on class - didn't really look, was too fascinated by the growlers!) and that "growl" from the engine is truly something else!
