http://www.sitmeanssit.com Today's daily dog training video takes us all the way out to Maui, Hawaii to watch Sit Means Sit dog training franchise owner Scott Sanchez as he shows a technique to teach your dog to flip back and forth from the side to the front. Giving your dog a clear boundary, as can be seen in this video makes things much clearer for the dog in it's beginning learning, and where exactly it is supposed to be in it's behavior.

  • There was not 1 FLIP in this video... I want my dog to do backflips with me

  • @iDeaTHeoRyi He is flipping back and forth into position. No one said anything about back flips. He also didn't do any front flips. :-)

  • @fredhassen I'm not an english major, but I'm pretty sure a flip is a full rotation of something, not a lunge or hop or jump. Do you know any way I can train my dog to do back flips? I've seen smaller dogs do them, and I KNOW he can jump high enough to do it, I take him out free running with me a lot and his legs are super muscular.

  • @iDeaTHeoRyi Sit him in front of you and facing you. Toss a ball a little behind his head, or some thing he likes. First have him jump straight up to get it, then toss a bit behind him.

  • Great video:-)

I love your channel and all the clips :-)

    Stay cool:-)

  • i dont have a dog, why am i watching this

  • Dumb trick

  • @SanchezFamilyMaui Why thank you for taking the time of looking up the definition. Do those two videos teach you HOW to TEACH your own dog how to do rotational flips?

  • @iDeaTHeoRyi @iDeaTHeoRyi I am not an English major either, so I looked it up for both of us:

FLIP: To turn something over. To make a mirror image of.

For our purposes the word flip means back and forth from Heel to Front

Search the Sit Means Sit website website and Fred's daily videos there are two videos of dogs doing "rotational flips" that you are after.

  • @PackLeaderAngie Hello Angie,

The words I use for Cienna a "Foos" /Heel Forne/ Front

The basic progression for this drill starts with the dog understanding a static Heel position and a static Front position. Since I speak a number of Languages I thought it would be fun to teach Cienna her commands in a wide variety. Besides we all know that dogs don't don't speak a word of English or any other language for that matter, so what ever makes sense to you will make sense to the dog.

  • @fredhassen Hmmm, that may be simple enough to work. I'll try it and let you know how it goes. Thanks.
