@CatTitBingo I never said knowing more theory makes better musicians, I never mentioned Tallica. Personally I dont like Kirks lead playing, it's repetative and boring. Yes, there are legends who know no theory and only use pentatonics, this argument has developed into me being misconstrued to thinking i hate Tallica, I love Metallica, just not Kirks playing, this all started because 'pROTPANDA' claimed A7X are 'made of shit' and I'm still waiting for the evidence that Syn's a sloppy guitarist?

@Jord3W the problem is that you think that knowing more music theory automatically makes you a better musician. the stuff metallica wrote back in the day was groundbreaking and nobody can deny they made some of the best metal albums of all time. that's like saying led zeppelin and ac/dc are crap compared to a7x just because they use pentatonics 90% of the time... but who's gonna agree with that? no one. it's all about creativity and originality.

@CatTitBingo Where's your proof Syns sloppy as hell? to be better musicians you have to be better songwriters you say? you could say personal opinion affects who you think is a better songwriter, and that affects better musicians, but while that is somewhat true, Syn Gates studied classical and Jazz, im not sure on Kirks history, but due to being in a thrash band and from analyzing his playing, im sure he hasn't got much musical knowledge other than, pentatonic, major and harmonic minor scales
