  • Yeah ,that's right, you can be stoned to death for being gay, working on the Sabbath, or for cursing your parents. Oh, and if a man has sex with the wife of a married slave, the sole punishment is sacrificing a ram to the Lord. (Leviticus 19 v20-22) Hmmm, let's see. It's pretty much ok to rape or commit adultery with a slave woman, as long as you follow it up with an act of animal cruelty.--Got it!! Gee, the Bible makes so much sense now.

  • its kinda funny to see them squirm from a question like that. they can never give a straight answer its like they're embarassed to admit they believe in bronze age mythology

  • @GaolisVideoLog Pretty much. Church was only created because there was a bunch of illiteracy back in the day. People needed someone to read for them and there weren't many copies around. I'm willing to believe some shit went down back in the day. Maybe it was aliens IDK. There's hundreds if not thousands of religions out there with their own name on a building saying the same thing. That's one hell of a lottery...

  • @THEHELENOHENZO I'm not sure I got you. "Amendments" are add-ons to constitutions, like "the right to bear arms", "contracts signed by a US administration become part of the constitution" & so on. "Love your neighbor" is not part of the ten commandments, but of the New Testament when Jesus was asked what the most important commandment should be. Basically, it's the 11th commandment if you will.

  • @Jebus495 I'm not quite sure if I can follow your statement. You're saying that the general message of Christianity as a whole is correct, but not the institutions as such, correct? Well, I can live with that.

  • @GaolisVideoLog No, I'm anti-theist.

I believe there very well could be historical merit to the bible. Maybe not in the details but in the stories taken more generally to account for thousands of years of editing and translation.

  • @Jebus495 So, you're catholic. Coz the seven deadly sins are a catholic thing.

  • >thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife

this is the one thats fun for me cause it has so many ridiculous loopholes

so if i covet a wife thats like 2000 miles (internet) away i m ok?

can i covet my neighbours girlfriend? (not yet wife)

this is stupid man...they really dropped the ball on that one

  • @f4eazrael Of course. If they didn't put in the good things, how would they sell it to people?

  • @f4eazrael "there are a lot of good points and ideas in religion once you take away all the fairytale religious crap"

No shit! Take away Middle Earth and the orcs, and the Lord of the Rings has a lot of extremely good points and ideas

  • @f4eazrael No, only TWO of them are laws and only sometimes. Adultery is a law in some states so you can make it two and a half. The same thing can be said about any religion or even idea. Take out the fairytale crap and Harry Potter has a lot of good points and ideas.
