There are a lot of popular table hockey game models on eBay and there are a few that fall into the rare category. This 36 year-old Munro Bobby Orr Hat Trick model qualifies as rare. What makes it even rarer is the condition its in.

Displayability

Check out the video and you will see a gorgeous example of old school table hockey. The game displays beautifully thanks to a playing surface that shines like new. You wont find much more than a minimal amount of wear and tear on the playing surface. What you will find is cosmetic in nature, minor blemishes really, and theres nothing that takes away from game play. The metal frame is completely free of rust. The original paint still looks great. The colors are bright and vivid without fade. The graphics are one of a kind! Thats the legendary Bobby Orr in the picture of the side of the game! The blue plastic end panels are completely free from cracks. Near the corner of one of the plastic panels where it mounts to the metal frame, a very small sliver of plastic has broken off but is still secured to the metal frame.

Playability

What youll see in the video is a rare old school table hockey game that plays just as well as it looksmaybe even better! It all starts with a flat playing surface. Let me say that again, it all starts with a FLAT PLAYING surface. There arent a lot of table hockey games of this vintage that can make that claim, especially models from the early 70s, but this Bobby Orr Hat Trick model has a playing surface that is as close to flat as youre going to find. These early 70s models were notorious for warping in the wing areas but look at those wingers in the video flying up and down the ice without binding up against the playing surface. Amazing!

Adding to the amazing playability of this game are the metal player control mechanisms below the game board. Munro made the best quality games around and those metal gears were a big reason why. Theres nothing plastic that will break under here. Everything hums like new. The metal rods are straight and smooth. The gears have been freshly lubed to give you years of trouble free play

Accessories

The goal nets are in perfect condition! Both are free of cracks and breaks in the frame and the netting and each has all of its tabs that attach to the game board. The automatic puck ejectors work every time. The very unique and rare scoreboard is included. The game mounts to the side of the frame and comes complete with a puck dropper. One of the score dials is original, the other is not, but you can keep score as you whip your friends.

The plastic players representing an Original Six slug fest between the Montreal Canadiens and the Detroit Red Wings are in very good condition for their age. The Montreal players stickers are in slightly better condition but all in all these paper stickers have held up very well for nearly four decades.

All of the player control grips that you hold on to move the players are included as is the original wood puck. Each of the four plastic puck flippers on each side of the goal are included and each has both of its tabs and secures tightly to the game board.
