Antonia is a 12 year old girl. She often has daydreams, in which she wonders of in to a magical far away forest, were she hides from the problems of the real world. One day, however, her father takes drastic measures and she has to face a decision.

Is your inner peace an utopian state until you have finally escaped the grip of the society and its rules? Or is affirmation a faster way to your personal luck? And what are you supposed to do, if you have to answer this question at the age of 12?

In the Animated Short "The Forest", the protagonist has to cope with this question and her hostile environment and finds a simple but radical solution.

  • This was me at twelve ;n;.

My childhood aside, I like the animation, but I do wonder why you punned all the other corporations, but Puma was kept as Puma?

  • This makes me really sad, I wish the world wouldn't try to make everyone the same or judge people for being individuals. This video was incredibly well done.

  • incredible

  • WOW, just wow..can you guys please tell me what programs did you used to make this wonderful animation?

  • Amazing piece! Respect for big talent. all best -mona k. :)

  • I have to say I really hate this trend of exalting what's clearly supposed to be ADHD. I have it and I am -so- much happier now that I'm on medication that actually lets me, you know, focus on the things I want to focus on, instead of being at the whim of a disorder. I know some people have had bad experiences with medication/therapy but that shouldn't speak for all of us.

  • Please. Before you judge the "weird", quiet child at school with no friends, the child with dyslexia who daydreams, the silent boy who chooses not to do his homework, the teenagers you hear of on the news who've went on rampages of school shootings, the girl who threw herself in front of a bus after being bullied...

Open your mind to what they might be thinking; see through their eyes. You might see the world in a new way.

Maybe then, they wouldn't feel so alone, and no one would have to hurt.

  • lol 1:15 read the signs..;D
