Delaney & Bonnie first met Eric Clapton when the pair served as Blind Faith's opening act.
Prior to their marriage and collaboration, Delaney had been a well-regarded LA session musician, and Bonnie had the distinction of being the only white Ikette, performing with the Ike and Tina Turner Revue. In later years, she turned to acting, appearing most notably on the TV shows "Fame" and "Roseanne", under her new name of Bonnie Sheridan.

This song is the story of D and B's life! Actually, the whole album is rife with songs that reflect their volatile relationship. Bobby Whitlock tells all in his bio--Delaney used to beat the hell outta Bonnie. Great music though and thanks for posting this!!

Sometime in the mid 80's I was at the L. A. County court archives and who should walk in and ask me for help? Bonnie Bramlet, We talked and shared a couple of smokes for about half an hour. I remember she was wearing a farm aid T shirt. She needed a copy of her final divorce for some reason. She was so sweet but seemed to be in a bit of a hurry. The best thing is I never told her I knew who she was.

She stands right up there with Dusty Springfield, in my humble opinion. I always loved Delaney and Bonnie and would give a lot to have the vinyl I had in the 70's on CD today. I am thankful for YouTube!
