Now we don't hear much about Asteroid 2005 YU55, so thought i would mirror this. Not a lot about for elenin now anyway. :)

1 AU = Earth --D-- Sun. That looks like you're saying it's equal to the distance the earth is from the sun. I thought it was the diameter of the Earth's orbit around the sun?

@Greenstarkingdom I'm not a astronomer but it's seems like some diagrams for this Asteroid 2005 YU55. The Asteroid is going to come close to earth later this year. Closer that comet elenin i believe. I'm sure a qualified astronomer would be able to tell you more. :)

@MrFurling Wasn't really worried about that. I was just curious what the correct definition of 1 AU is. The one in the video of course is right. Had it wrong in my head for whatever reason.

It's really cool to see this, but I agree it doesn't all make a ton of sense to me... But my point is.. What good does knowing it is coming do? If it hits there isn't a thing we can do about it.. Just hope your'e far enough inland the wave doesn't hit you, or that the thing doesn't hit on land... But we can watch it coming.. But unlike the movies, nothing we can do to stop something like this

So, tell me what planet is tracking with YU55 at 0:45 sec and 6:30 min. during the simulations. This is obviously there and not labeled...but is gigantic! Read between the lines?
