ALUMeditation

Here is an example for using the very old runic formula of "ALU" for a magical chant and meditational tool. ALU has very ancient roots. The various theories of it's meaning all seem to correlated to a combinational idea of the words, "protection, sorcery, magic, ale, sacred, thrive, strengthen, ecstasy, etc". Possibily Proto-Indo-European root which gave rise similar Hittite words "alwanzahh "bewitch" and alwanatar "magic" the Greek word "aluein "rage or ecstasy" amongst many others. It does appear in numerous runestones, carved items, rings, and medalions, etc.

Um..........what ever works for you I suppose, this is nothing even close to my personal interpretation. Not meaning to be insulting. It just seems to be contrived from commercialized beliefs.

The short-list meanings of it are derived from linguistics and pure archeological finds. Not just by lay practitioners, and "magically "inclined types but even academic runologists (yes, they do exist). Of course, we do not know how the runes were sung/chanted exactly. Or the pattern of the galdrar. That is, of course, a modern theory, practice. and interpretation.

Also the Alumeditation has something concrete that is that is makes uses of A (rising) L (calmed nexus) U (to go deep) and then again rise in the infinite circle.

So it comes logical and natural as a spiraloid cosmic movement.

This is a another great video in an already excellent series. Your meditation is similar to one I've been practicing for awhile with a lot of success. I've found that experiencing runes in other ways then meditating makes it very powerful. By that I mean how running and acts of physical strength and endurance embody Uruz, etc.

To respond to Thulgore below, there is no one right way to do meditations; however, sitting cross-legged sure can be comfortable.
