I live in Michigan and there's actually local Tribes that do the hoop dance. According to a friend of my mom's who grew up on a Res, all of the Nations do it. She says it's one of the few things that unites all the tribes across the board. Strange and interesting really.

I remember First Nations hoop dancers coming to our schools as kids and dancing for us. I definitely feel as though I am inside a sacred circle when I am hooping.

Hoop dancing is uniting people all over the world! From every walk of life. Hoop dancing does unite all tribes across the board.
