Part 3 Veurne Draaiorgel Festival 2011 83 Key WELLERSHAUS organ

VEURNE INTERNATIONAL STREET ORGAN FESTIVAL JUNE 18TH 2011

(Part 3 of 15): Originally this Wellershaus organ was built as a barrel organ by the firm of Gebruders Wellershaus of Saarn (now a suburb of the city Mülheim-Ruhr) in Germany.
It was converted to a book operated organ in 1927, and is one of only two 83-Key examples surviving. A rank of Piccolo pipes help give these German organs a unique and special sound.
The current owner is Henning Ballmann of Germany, but the organ is a regular visitor to The Netherlands. However this is the organ's first ever appearance playing in the streets of Belgium.

@cellopipe Absolutely - I was hard pushed to say whether this might have been my favourite organ at Veurne this year - but the Ruth(s) and one or two others were strong competition.

I have the title of the first tune as "Admiral der Luft" by Blankenberg,it is definitely not Neues Leben,i have checked it out on here and it's a totally different March!
