This is a short version of a 40 minute film that focuses on the squatter community of Nueva Linda, in Guatemala. The community was protesting the kidnapping of their leader Hector Reyes and were violently evicted/massacred by the Guatemalan government in August 2004. The film also pays special attention to the emerging role of the army in police operations, echoing past human rights abuses.
