Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) is forced to retire after having permanent damage inflicted on him in the ring. Returning home after the Drago bout, Balboa discovers that the fortune that he had acquired as heavyweight champ has been stolen and lost on the stockmarket by his accountant. His boxing days over, Rocky begins to coach an up-and-coming fighter named Tommy Gunn (Tommy Morrison). Rocky cannot compete, however, with the high salaraies and glittering prizes being offered to Gunn by other managers in town.

Directed by: John G. Avildsen.

Cast: Sylvester Stallone, Talia Shire, Burt Young, Sage Stallone, Burgess Meredith, Tommy Morrison.

  • the one thing that i found incredibly stupid about this movie was the premise of how he lost his money you are telling me that by him signing a few sneakers or doing commercials he can't get his money back? bullshit

  • Rocky is Rocky, but this movie is patetic. Is not a good finale to the saga of Balboa. Dont get my wrong i love the Rocky movies, but this film actually is bad. Sly made the movie six because Rocky V never was a good close to the history of Balboa. Anyway, Rocky rules!!!

  • The trailer is far more entertaining then the actual movie.
