About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

  • hmm

  • Say right... "Right" hahahahahahaha

I agree with everything he said.

  • Enjoy Jeff thoroughly!, BUT, I think he excludes the noise created by not having a speaker/figurehead. Weeding through comments (such as mine) is hard enough!

  • @synaesthetichord...agreed and it does allow for internal comparison (is that what you mean to play? or is your internal/external change VOLUNTARY..the real search-engine advance)

  • @AutomaticAwesome LOVE TWiG!

  • The purpose of continuing to cultivate the skill of memorization is to perform abilities that are too real-time-sensitive to search on google. If I'm performing a Rachmaninov concerto--which I believe to contain enough worth to be performed live in the future--I have to memorize it in order to perform it. The process of looking at each note is insufficient due to the human limitation on visual and mental processing.

  • The irony is palpable. (2:00)

  • I like his voice
