Clips from the forest road between the Blue Lagoon and Keflavik, last day of our visit - also this is the shortcut to the airport.

  • Well, yes... But were is the forest?

  • Iceland has no forests. "Forest Road" is their word for back country road.

  • @debivort

    Not really...

And Iceland has forests, just none big enough for an industry... you really do need a gigantic forest for an industry.

Newspapers in New York take a rainforest every day.

  • @kaa3164 If you find yourself lost in an Icelandic forest, stand up.

  • Rock forests but very few trees and they take forever to mature due to the short summers. In some ways I miss Island/Iceland but in others I'm so glad to have gotten off that place in Dec 82. My oldest son and I used to fish off the docks in Keflavik for flounder, we've been all over Grindavik and I used to go to Hofn to swap out ammo with the military there. Is the old Patterson Field still by the gate - I guess the customs police no longer check cars with the base closed.
