Too Busy -- Ken Colyer 1975
It was quite an honor to sit next to Ken Colyer on stage and play night after night in New Orleans in the Esplanade Cafe on the corner of Toulouse and Bourbon Street during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival. We had chartered a plane from Toronto and brought some 300 folks from there. Next to this American jazz fans and tourists were curious as well and we filled the place every night. Monte Drake, a man from Florida came specially to record the real New Orleans sounds. He was there every night there to record our Toronto band with Ken on trumpet.
Ken told me to play loosely behind him. Quite an experiece.
Another clip for my English yo tube friend http://www.youtube.com/user/DADRENO
The tempo is too fast and Zero New Orleans-feeling!

Nice one, Bob. (And so good to hear Jack Vinken getting a clear hearing occasionally!)
