Discover what evolutionary geologists and geophysicists call "a tiny mystery"... microscopic scientific evidence that appears to undenyingly support the instantaneous creation of the earth's foundation rocks - the granites.
@iclb00285 I would think that true science, in search of truth whatever it might be, would be open to the possibility of the activity of God, rather than assume that God never interacted with His creation, and that everything can be explained as if God does not exist.
Yet repeatedly, many who claim to be scientists resist the scientific data regarding halos, U/Pb ratios in coalified wood, and Pb/He retention rates because that data leads to the conclusion that miracles by God have occurred.
@iclb00285 Therefore, you should never have presumptuously asserted that it is impossible for decay rates to be accelerated, since you can't prove that they weren't.
He and Pb retention rates in Precambrian zircons from deep granite cores show that these zircons, dated by skeptics at 1.5 billion years, are but 1000's of years old.
Yet over-exposed U238 halos exist in Precambrian granites, which would not exist unless decay rates had been accelerated at some point in the past.
@iclb00285 I think you are mistaken to confine the term "evolution" to biology, as if cosmologists and geologists of the skeptic type arrive at their hypotheses apart from evolutionary thinking.
The point of the video and Gentry's research is that this earth is around 6000 years old. The polonium halo evidence says nothing about the age of everything that exists out there. Even Gentry's work in cosmology doesn't call for everything to have been created during creation week.
@iclb00285 (a) Not so. Your initial comment refers to proof "that these rocks are OLD," and says that "the creationist contention ... has no basis in reality." So you framed this discussion within the creation-evolution debate.
(b) ??? You said "creationists still insist a 6k yo universe." I asked why you assume all creationists do. Now you admit that all don't, but you blame creationists for your mistake?
Please scientifically support your earlier statement that God can't alter decay rates.
If it's such a common practice, then perform the experiment.
"Halo-bearing material"? Don't you mean isotope-bearing fluids?
If you're not interested in pushing evolution, why (a) push a date of billions of years, and (b) assume all creationists propose a 6,000 year UNIVERSE?
@iclb00285 First of all, it seems more appropriate to first answer my question as to why accelerated decay is impossible before we move on to a different question.
In answering my question, please cite scientific proof re: the impossibility of even God altering decay rates.
The article at halos dot com/reports/science-1976-coalified-wood.htm addresses "U addition or Pb removal." Re: spacial resolution issues, I'm unaware of published reports establishing such errors here.
Loss of heat: I guess one would have to nail down the exact mechanisms whereby decay rates were accelerated in order to know how much heat one was talking about. That's a bit difficult to do, wouldn't you say?
I don't think Snelling's hypothesis (that nearly all transport occurred while temps were above the annealing point, and nearly all decay occurred while temps were below the annealing point) is plausible.
@iclb00285 If it isn't part of evolution, then quit talking about long ages.
I don't see cracks near the center of the halo in Plate 7 - a, 8 - a, 8 - c, do you?
If Rn is a problem, why not start with something else? See how long it takes you to get anything to diffuse into a biotite crystal under hi temps and pressure, without destroying the crystal in the process.
Peer Review...now what are they are going to say against this...

I could not find anything or anyone who could contradict him....wow.

@iclb00285 Please be specific: what temp?

@iclb00285 There's plenty of such evidence.
