Family Home Evening can get crazy. Remember

Its the act of doing FHE every week that is the most important part of teaching our children.




Habit of a weekly lesson & activity is key to success. If your kids are being rowdy or just not listeningContinue on!!!

You will be surprised how much they really do learn from the lessons

DO NOT get upset or get frustrated that you took so much time to prepare this lesson and NO ONE is listening..Continue on and continue teachingGet the kids involved and find fun activity or attention grabbers to bring them back to focus on the lesson.

The lesson can be as quick as 20 minutes. Never make it too long or drawn out..Make it light hearted and fun but teaching correct principles.

If the lesson does not go over wellSave your lesson put a post it note on it that has the date you gave the lesson and when to re-visit the lesson at another date. You will find that your kids really do remember parts of that lesson.




**If you get frustrated your kids get frustratedand guess what? Family Home Evening is a DREADED weekly *THING* to do rather than a time the family gets together and has a blast..**

So, be patient---be understanding of the attention span of your kidsIf you are just mostly talking to yourself---continue talking and have fun while doing itYou will be pleasantly surprised at the outcome
