What good are jobs when people are sick and dying?And anyways,jobs mining coal are gone when the coal is gone.The people who really benefit are very few,who make billions at the expense of the rest of us, with billions in tax subsidies,and by destroying public land that belongs to us all.It seems to make alotmore sense to create jobs that last,that don't destroy the land so it cannot be used for farming etc,that don't cost us all billions in healthcare costs as reported bu Harvard Medical School

These pro coal efforts always fail to mention he fact that the only reason coal is cheap is they get billions in tax subsidies, ignore regulations, and pass the cost to the people, who end up paying to clean up their mess, and who end up sick from the tons of mercury, lead, arsenic and other poisons they pump into our air and water every year. When all the coal in an area is gone, they move on and leave the community with no jobs, and trashed land no longer useful for farming etc.
