http://unboxing.gearlive.com - TiVo has launched their Series4 DVR, dubbed the TiVo Premiere, and we give you a look at the new TiVo in this video, along with all included accessories.
Mine says I got my cable companies brand on this so its mostly the cable companies. I didnt have to pay for the box, just the monthly fee. your better off getting it from your cable company if your local company has it. Its better then buying your companies old DVR. This is basically heaven.
@tomekcz20022 thats how I have my home setup. I don't even use cable. I have Over The Air Antenna (6-7 HD Stations/40-50 free channels) and I use a high speed internet. CNN has RSS feeds, ESPN has RSS feeds, I think even Hulu has RSS feeds. As long as their in a compatible format for the tivo to read, yes you can stream them to your tivo.
@ghstbstr I bet if you called and threatened to cancel you could get some sweet opportunities aside from just your $209.99 Premiere upgrade which ends AUG 31...
Okay, how do I get this unit or the series 3 unit to record Free HDTV signals? how much more harddrive does this one have than the previous series 3? you mentioned 45 hours in HD, so how many hours does the previous one have? what is actually the difference between these 2 as well? the 3 and the 4 series? thanks
Actually the Tivo Premiere uses a dual core Broadcom BCM7413 chip rated at 1,100 DMIPS. The BCM7413 is dual core 400 MHz CPU and it has 512 MB of RAM.

I really want a TiVo Premiere, but the only problem is that I can't afford it.
I have had a TiVo Series 1 since March 2000, and I really need to update and the TiVo Premiere looks like the one to me.

Can you subscribe to video podcasts like cnn etc.? I'm thinking about getting rid of cable (sick of paying $130 a month).
