It does, but the X6 is huge, and not all too practical. If I want a BMW SUV with performance with comfort, I'll take an X5.

  • @adogg619

Not only that, this transmission will still give it a sporty feel with paddle shifters and will not diminish the performance, especially a BMW. A poor performing BMW? Not on their watch.

  • @adogg619

The reason for the 8-speed auto is to improve fuel efficiency. It's worked. Mercedes has a 7-speed auto, and Audi uses the tiptronic 8-speed auto as well. Even Chrysler has adopted it with the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger.

  • much rather see the 550i touring F10 being sold in the US.

  • Gross

  • I still dont understand why they call it a 5 series. Its on the 7 series platform. That's why it is so large.

  • where i live at, ive never seen one!!

  • throw in a sports looking body kit and this beast will become one sexy bitch!!!

  • this just looks like an X6

  • lol a 'coop'

    COOOOPAYYY

  • Both the I-6 and V8 engines make enough power and torque throughout the rev range, so why the hell do they need an 8 speed transmission?

Sounds like a numbers game to me, just so they can compete with other manufacturers.

  • eh i like the way it looks. ive seen much worse.

  • I laughed out loud when the camera paned out and I saw the ass of that thing. lol. wooh thats ugly.

  • So effing ugly. Just hideous.

  • Not sure if Bangle is still with BMW but ever since the Banglised 7 series, they have had many fugly cars. Just horrible.

  • even those this car is fucking ugly I know there's going to be that one armenian in glendale thats going to buy this...esh...*barfs* excuse me

  • I'll have the 5 Series Estate over this ugly beast.

  • This looks perfectly proportioned compared to the X6.

  • Lame looking rims, big old donkey of a rear end. I would only drive this if I won it in some contest. At least there is still the M3 that looks good.

  • Still better than merc R-class.

  • Uuuummmmmm..........

  • @WildDanHibiki Wouldn't call it bastard child...since we already know the parents...

    More like incest child.

  • ewww it looks like the bastard child of the x6 and the 5 series

  • Wow, what the hell happened to BMW? This car is pure ugly....The front, rear, even rims are all ugly.....
