God blessed to have had her as my Aunt. Her sister was my grandmother. It was always fun during the family picnics and family holidays cause you never knew who would start singing first but once it started it went all night long with Aunt Doe leading everyone. And the disagreements, now those were fun, cause all the aunts an uncles and cousins could sing.

I grew up on her songs and i thank God for her annointing and gifts because there have been many storms that er songs have gotten me through. Thank God for Doris Akers

I knew Doris in the 80's she was kind, sweet, & loving! Many times we prayed and cried many tears together. Against all hatred, evil, & insults she smiled and witness in Jesus' name. I thank God always to have had the privilege of knew her personally.

I would like to get the sheet music/song books of Doris Akers. Ms. Akers wrote hundreds of songs but I have only been able to find two of her song books. Does anyone have any??
