@LightningStrike66X In the opening scene, Hanna and Barbera draw Elroy and he comes to life. Then they draw Dick Dastardly's rocket, and the rocket happens to have Dick in it so he steals Elroy and takes off. That was the story basically.

That's very cool kind of like The Simpsons ride
-
Why did they get rid of this ride?
-
Why did Dastardly kidnap Elroy anyway?

My mom was just talking to me about how much she loved going on this ride with me. We were disappointed when they changed it over to Shrek 4D, even though we stay on the property at Disneyworld and don't go to Universal Studios anymore.
What really impressed me was the CGI for the ride, I guess I was a rather young computer nerd to have picked up on that when I was 10. I was into the Minds Eye computer animation tapes around then too. Awesome stuff, I'm glad you were able to post it here.

@theschmoopies "Most kids don't know these characters anymore, I guess"
That's primarily the reason why they got rid of it. The Nicktoon ride is basically the same concept, just with more modern cartoons.

Wow, that looks really really cool! But the Scooby Doo bit was missing 3 vital characters. Otherwise, great job!

First The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera and now Back To The Future: The Ride. The Universal parks is starting to lose it now and the Disney parks are the ones to look up to. Car Toon Spin, the Roger Rabbit dark ride, based on the Spielberg / Zemeckis smash hit is still around thank goodness.
