FreeCAD tutorial video
-------------------------------
This is my first attempt at a tutorial video so please don't be too-harsh with your criticisms :)
This tutorial is intended to be a brief introduction to FreeCAD's Sketcher Workbench, with particular focus on constraints.
A basic outline of a bicycle frame is built and constrained as closely as possible to real-life geometry.
Target audience - Beginner
Assumed prior knowledge - Basic understanding of FreeCAD and simple commands for manipulating objects and interacting with menus.
As I mention in the video, FreeCAD is still under development. Before I got to the stage where I was ready to make this tutorial I had a fair amount of random crashes where the program just completely shut-down. So make sure you SAVE YOU WORK OFTEN, don't say I didn't warn you!
Software: FreeCAD 0.12 running on an Ubuntu Linux machine.
make sure you check-out FreeCAD's home page at :

Happy FreeCADing :)
Really really great video! One correction, in 08.00, it is not a solver problem but an inconsistency in the dimensioning units that you have been using...you should have written 42.494 as you are sketching in centimeters, while 424.94 is the milimeters unit!!!
