  • 'Yes Hastings, we pull ever so gently, the leg.'

  • Her unflattering hair style and heavy makeup, both popular at the time period, add to what some people may think her masculine appearance. Also, the fact the actress is tall and rather strapping. She is what is known as a 'handsome woman'. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Let's stop staring at her face, people, and just watch the show.

  • Has any one noticed that the interior design for many buildings in this series was pretty modern for the 30 era britain?

  • @jharker45 I second that. She is a beauty indeed.

  • @librarygirl8 He's not gay. He's just Belgian.

    :)

  • I don't care what everyone is sayin' but i like that handsome woman!..or my I say I find that handsome woman most attractive....

  • @twillyforever101 as with any rule, there are exceptions. But in general right-handed people wear it on the left and vice-versa. Supposedly, t makes it easier to "lock-on", and to look at the time while you're using your dominant hand. Of course, as with all behavioural traits this is also influenced by family and surrounding social circle. I know plenty of lefties who wear it on the left-hand as well.

  • "Hercule Poirot does not need to go to the dentist!" XD

  • @snipergirl21 Ditto. That has always confused my mum. It makes perfect sense to me. If I'm right-handed, of course I'll wear my watch on my right hand. I'm more likely to look at it!

  • @Microglia1 Nope! If you read any of Agatha Christie's novels with him as the lead, you will see he has a weakness for beautiful women. Also, in the Chocolate box, an old love is revealed. Never has it been suggested that Poirot was homosexual. Plus, it's rather ignorant and stereotypical to label him as such because he appears foppish.

  • 6:27 The whole watch thing always bothered me. I'm right-handed, and I've always worn my watch on my right hand. :P
